Campsite Directions:

The camp site is on Route 102  approximately 1 1/2 to 2 miles north of the junction of Route 105 in Bloomfield, VT.  Also click on the link to get a map.  I'll leave it up to you as to how to find Bloomfield, it's east of Island Pond,VT.  It takes about 2 healthy hours to get to the camp site from the CTR. VT area.  The camp site is on the north end of a large meadow on the east side of the road between the Route 102 and the river.  It's quite easy to find; if you get to the State of Vermont Road Maintenance Shed you'll have gone too far. The red arrow points to the site on the map.

Tackle suggestions:

It’s the time of the yellow mays- Sulphurs, and Yellow Drakes, and of course Cahills. I would go prepared with both floating and bead head tan nymphs in appropriate sizes, CDC emergers, and blonde Usuals and/or NoHackles. BWO's also seem to hatch at this time too. Elk Hair Caddis should work fine for those flies but have some soft hackles and little green worms for the larvae and pupae.  There are a ton of the larger yellow/brown stonefly nymphs in the river and high water tumbles them about pretty good. Back Lake, in Pittsburg,NH should be offering up Yellow Drake and Hex hatches at dark.  Little Diamond Pond, east of Colebrook is packed with trout, too.
